We are a medical billing and collections service in need of a professional, energetic and detailed oriented collection specialists.
The Collection Specialist is responsible for collections, assisting with data input and billing, follow up with payers and patients regarding non-payments, underpayments, or incorrect payments in a thorough manner, recommends accounts for collection agencies or legal assignments, and set up payments plans according to practice guidelines, ensure payments on accounts reconciles to closure.
The ideal candidate must possess:
• Preferably 1year experience in medical billing and collections
• Familiarity with health insurance plans including HMO's, PPO's, Medicare, Medi-Cal
• Outstanding work ethic, customer service skills, reliability and the ability to be a team player
• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task
