Title: Account Manager
Location: Los Angeles

Summary

Responsible for acquiring new sales and account development within an established geographic territory for a moderately complex set of telecommunications products and services


Essential Duties

1. The primary responsibility is to FIND new business within accounts that have not previously done or are not currently doing business with BTI America LLC and Bayan Telecommunications

2. Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.


3. Develops and implements actions to create additional opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company. Creates account plans and strategies to win new business from both new as well as existing customers.

4. Develops and manages customer relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and attain additional business.

5. Provides accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

6. Coordinates customer requirements with the appropriate organizations within the company for facilities provisioning and maintenance, resolution of billing and settlement concerns and customer feedback.


7. Learns and develops further knowledge of new technologies and selling points which includes enhancing expertise in the company's product application technologies.

Education and Experience:

• Experience: 4+ yrs in the telecom industry selling IPL, IP, data and voice network services is required.
• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree – preferred
• Field Of Study: Business, marketing, telecom engineering or similar
• A combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:

• 3-5+ years of sales experience, with a minimum 2+ years in the telecom industry hunting new business and selling IPL, IP, data and voice network services – Required
• At least 2 years experience carrying a $5K monthly quota or higher - Required
• Experience in solution selling IP, data, and voice network services in the local market territory- Required
• Local candidates Only - No relocation is provided
• Experience in strategic, technical, and business communications application sales - Required
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in managing the sales lifecycle, prospecting, cold calling, and selling to close
• Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction and ability to provide assistance to sales force.
• Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
